Granny, What Happened to Your Face?

grandmother-strikes-again1200x800It’s May and the reviews from our Spring Hidden Heart classes are rolling in. Our favorite is from a woman who shared her granddaughter’s question: “Granny, what happened to your face?” The little girl noticed something different about her grandmother – an attractive new joy and softness. Dare we call it a “spiritual facelift?”

Her comment captures her change of heart:

I would like to thank the Sarah’s Daughters for writing The Cry of the Hidden Heart. When I first heard about the study, I thought it was going to be about the faults of a husband in a marriage. God quickly began to show me how I could be a better wife and revealed my own faults in my marriage. I realized that I take matters into my own eyes without trusting God. The Holy Spirit began to soften my heart and speak to me about my marriage.

God has given me so much joy within that I no longer react without going to God first. I have learned to keep my eyes on God and His will for my life. I’m learning to respect my husband as a man and realize that we both have faults. Again, I really enjoyed this book and God bless you all.

We appreciated this review from a young woman:

I have been married almost seven years and the Hidden Heart study has been a true blessing in my life. One thing that really touched my heart was Chapter 10: “The Battle of the Mind.” The story of Sarah and Abraham felt like my husband’s and my story. I wanted so badly to be able to meet my husbands needs, that I started playing God, because I knew I could work faster than God. What I didn’t know was that I was hurting my family and our future.

Like Sarah, at times, instead of trusting in God and his timing, I thought I would go a step ahead of God and come up with my own ideas on how to help my husband. Now I keep Phillipians 4:4-7 in mind.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I’m so glad I was able to be a part of this great study with women who love their husbands and want to work on becoming better wives according to God, not society, and who love God enough to totally surrender everything to learn how God is calling them.

Thank you, ladies! Plans are underway for summer classes, so please look on the website. Or, why not gather a few friends to host your own summer class. We’ve made it so easy to do. Read the book and push play on our DVD and you’re good to go!

Remember, a summer tan is fleeting and causes wrinkles. Diving into God’s love for you creates a glow that lasts from here to eternity! Exodus 34:29b
